OAK LODGE SANITARY AND WATER DISTRICT BOARDS ARE DISCUSSING THE POTENTIAL OF MERGING
The Boards of the two Districts will have their next meeting on Monday, February 2nd. The purpose of the meeting is to begin discussions and finish a discovery phase to determine the benefits and problems with merging the two Districts. The public is encouraged to attend the joint Board meeting which will be held at the Oak Lodge Water District office, 14496 SE River Road beginning at 6:00 p.m.
A Financial Feasibility Study was completed by Donovan Enterprises in June, 2014. The study was contracted and funded by the Oak Lodge Sanitary District. The study concluded savings could be attained by merging the two Districts. The study showed that although rates would not decrease, the increase in future rates may be less. The savings are primarily attained by reducing administrative staff.
The attachments below include the Donovan Enterprises Financial Feasibility Study and the Request for Qualifications for the discovery phase.
